Simplifying Disability Inclusion process in companies 

 

Economic impact: Since its inception in 2012 the project is trained 28000 and 70% got hired from 500+ companies. It has expanded PwD work choices and given career pathways for educated and less educated youth. Savings from salary was spent by youth to pay off the parents’ high-interest debt, education of siblings, and health expenses. The average salary of an educated youth around 2,64,000/- p.a.

 

Impact studies show the project has also mainstreamed inclusive workplaces by demonstrating the economic benefits of hiring and institutionalized PwD hiring opportunities. It also renews India’s commitment to SDGs, especially Goal 8 of Decent Work and Goal 10 of Reduced Inequalities.

Extent of focus in Bengaluru

Annually Training 100 PWD graduate Youth (Disability Types: LD, SHI, LV candidates) in domains like IT, BFSI and ITES providing placements opportunities for 50 candidates
