You, Me and Music
Introducing classical music to children, ages 9 to 12, through creative listening exercises
Speakers
Introducing children to one of the genres of Hindustani classical music, Dhrupad, and inviting them to find their personal connection and response to the music, some of which they might be listening to, for the very first time. No prior knowledge of classical music is necessary as the session does not focus on the technical elements of music, but on the emotional and creative response. It is not designed to teach music but to create an appreciation for it.
