Come for the clever characters, stay for the big laughs and leave with timeless tales!

Trickster Tales is a playful storytelling workshop where folktales from around the world come to life. Through drama, movement, and craft, children meet age-old tricksters who use their brains rather than brawn to solve problems.

Kids will listen deeply, move creatively, and express freely as they step into the story. The session will end with a simple craft project, and each child will leave with a handmade piece of the story.

This workshop encourages creativity, builds confidence, and nurtures a love of reading in a joyful, inclusive space.

Madhumita

Storyteller

Madhumita’s storytelling journey began in advertising, shaping brand narratives at agencies like Contract, Leo Burnett, and Ogilvy. As Global Brand Development Manager at Unilever, she helped craft the global story of Pond’s, discovering the power of stories to connect and inspire.

Drawn to stories beyond boardrooms, she trained at Kathalaya – The International Academy of Storytelling – and shifted her focus to children. In 2011, she joined Treasure Books, leading Read Play Enjoy, a preschool storytelling initiative blending drama, music, games, and mime.

From 2014 to 2016, she co-founded Kahani Karnival Trust, curating multidisciplinary storytelling festivals at venues like the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya and Bangalore International Centre.

Since moving to Bengaluru in 2016, Madhumita has led community workshops and, since 2018, has taught English at Inventure Academy. Her classroom uses stories to spark inquiry, empathy, and critical thought.

For Madhumita, storytelling is not just a method but a mindset—fueling wonder, imagination, and lifelong learning.
