Bangalore International Centre
7, 4th Main Road, Domlur II Stage
Bangalore, Karnataka 560071 India

Gauley Bhai draws inspiration from a rich tapestry of influences, encompassing Nepali folk, South-Indian Singari rhythms, Malian folk, Tuareg rock, and Western guitarists. Their debut album, “Joro,” released in 2019, explored themes of love, identity, and memory. The band delves into individual and collective journeys, embracing the personal and political aspects of life. Gauley Bhai’s music remains fluid, dynamically inspired, and defined by its ability to move and groove, encapsulating a unique blend of rock, contemporary ethnic, and regional roots music with the spirit of a jam band.

Started  in 2017, Gauley Bhai is a reflection of the migration experiences of band members originating from Kalingpong in the East to Calicut in the South. Their sound is infused with echoes of childhood from small towns and the complexities of urban life.

Co-presented and conceptualized in collaboration with Bangalore International Centre, this concert is part of the multi-arts festival, Unboxing BLR Habba taking place across Bengaluru city from 1st to 11th December.
