Pandhari ke Rang
Documentary | 36 mins | Hindi, Marathi, English with English subtitles
Directors: Sachin Shirke & Pankaj Sharma
Producer: Films Division of India

Pandhari ke Rang is a colourful documentary, covering the equally colourful career of legendary makeup artists in the Hindi cinema, Pandhari Juker, popularly known as “Pandhari Dada”. The documentary traces the creative journey of Pandhari Dada, in the much ignored field of art i.e. Make-up. It would not be wrong to say that Lata Mangeshkar is for India music and Cinema today, what Pandhari Dada is for the art of Make-up. The floating belief within the industry that if you have your make up done by Pandhari Dada, then you are bound to be successful in the industry, has made him a cult figure among the actors. The film features familiar films of Hindi Cinema such as Waheeda Rahman, Manisha Koirala, Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Ashwini Bhave, Juhi Chawla, Vikram Gaikwad, Subhash Ghai, Renuka Shahane and others.
