At a young age Schriefl was invited by the famous saxophonist Charlie Mariano to represent him on a tour with the Karnataka College of Percussion. Enthusiastic about South Indian music, he continues to travel to Bangalore to study Indian music there. …

… Years ago a deep friendship developed in Bangalore, as well as a band with two band leaders: Amith Nadig and Matthias Schriefl. The musicians of this band come from Colombia, India, Westphalia and the Allgäu – an eclectic coming together to make real world music!

Amith Nadig, a flute virtuoso is not satisfied with dealing with his own complex culture: He also plays samba, blues and mambo pieces and yodels in the Indian way. Vinod and Sunaad are two percussionists who are already established in the Karnatic tradition coming from a very great musical family. The 4 musicians constantly explore the connections between jazz harmonies and Indian ragas, as well as the similarities of grooves from all over the world. A fascinating interplay of the complex rhythms of South India and the European harmony arises. They not only work on music, but also move their own horizons backwards through this research work. A virtuosic encounter that can only take place in the heavenly realm of limitless, pure joy in music. A fascinating interplay of the complex rhythms of South India and the European harmony arises.
