After years of text based acting, actor Suhasini Seelin discovered mime and the world of non verbal performance, and found it fascinating. Our body can communicate so much, without speaking a single word!
Join her on zoom for a session on mime:
– learn how to mime objects and create a world around them;
– unlock your imagination while getting playful and silly with everyday items;
– discover how you would show joy, surprise, cheekiness, excitement and other reactions…
…And create your own little show at the end – all from your own home!
Suhasini Seelin hoped to save the world through storytelling and got a Master of Creative Media in Film and TV from RMIT, Melbourne. Since then she has practiced performance and direction through productions on stage, public installations, TV and short films in Australia. She was artist-in-residence at City of Melbourne’s Boyd Studio and created a silent comedy web series Coffee Zombie which has been shown in festivals and galleries. In 2019, she trained in mime and physical theatre, and continues to explore the form, sometimes with children!
