All Monu can think about as he roams the forests with his best friend Raju, is spotting the elusive leopard, Shera, before his family moves away to the city. Time is running out, so Raju comes up with an idea: a little dangerous, but maybe just crazy enough to work. Will they find Shera in time?

Watch the film, flip through the beautifully illustrated graphic book, and meet the storyteller behind it all! Shera began as a short film and grew into a graphic book, hand-painted by acclaimed artist Allen Shaw, bringing to life the magic and mystery of the Himalayan valleys of Kumaon. Beyond the adventure lies a story about home, moving away, and a community learning to share its world with a wild, wonderful neighbour.

Around the World in 50 Sundays is a journey that begins, not with a ticket, but with opening a book. In a city like Bangalore where families are always in motion, the BIC Library hopes to offer stillness and a quiet, welcoming space for both parents and children where reading becomes a shared experience. Every Sunday, we open our doors to invite you into a library that listens; building a rhythm of return, a habit of joy and a new community bound not just by books, but by the weekly ritual of reading together.

Arun Fulara is a Mumbai-based writer who dreams of hills. Annual trips to his native hills of Kumaon, Uttarakhand, led to a life-long fascination with the Himalayan world and its people. This love has manifested itself in stories, the first of which was, The Leopard of Bageshwar, that won an Honourable Mention in a short story contest by Juggernaut. He subsequently wrote Shera, which was made as a short film first and then turned into a graphic book for children. His other short films have travelled to festivals across the world. He works as a screenwriter in Hindi films in Mumbai.
