The book presents a set of conversations with five former governors and one serving governor of Reserve Bank of India, on the topic of financial inclusion. The discussion captures the evolution and approach of the central bank in addressing this issue.

Speakers

Prof. M S Sriram

Professor Sriram is a Faculty at the Centre for Public Policy, IIM Bangalore. He is also a Distinguished Fellow of Institute for Development of Research in Banking Technology – set up by Reserve Bank of India. In the past he was the ICICI Bank Lalita Gupte Chair Professor of Microfinance, and Chairperson Finance and Accounting Area at the IIM Ahmedabad; on the faculty of IRMA, and Vice President of Basix.

Dr. Y V Reddy

Y.V was a member of The Palais Royal Initiative on the Reform of the International Monetary System. He was also on the Advisory Board of Institute for New Economic Thinking (INET). He was member of the High Level Advisory Panel on Independent Evaluation of Role of IMF in Global Financial Crisis.

Samit Ghosh

Samit Ghosh is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Ujjivan Small Finance Bank Limited. Ghosh founded Ujjivan in 2005 as a pioneer Microfinance institution for the urban poor. He is a career banker for over 30 years and has worked in South Asia and the Middle East. . He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
