An equitable, high-quality public education system is fundamental to a sound democracy and a vibrant economy. Teachers are central to good education. There are thousands of teachers across our country who, despite all odds, continue to work with great commitment. Acknowledging and supporting good teachers in the public education system is one of the most important ways of strengthening it. Ordinary People, Extraordinary Teachers by S. Giridhar tells the story of these Heroes of Real India.
