‘Nirbhay Nirgun Gun Re Gaunga,’ Kabir wrote.
The fearless, nirbhay, and the formless, nirgun: this is the aspiration for the mind.
Nirbhay Nirgun is a concert celebrating Kabir’s philosophy and his plain-spoken wisdom through song, interspersed with discussion that contextualises the verses within today’s challenging socio-political climate. Hindustani classical musicians Nimish and Avanti bring this journey to life through some of Kabir’s most iconic writing — settings immortalised by Kumar Gandharva and Madhup Mudgal, compositions by their guru Padma Shri Dr Ashwini Bhide Deshpande, and new compositions by Nimish himself.
