Where time ends, she begins.

Mahakali is a spellbinding Kuchipudi production that delves into the cosmic dance of kAALA (time) and its eternal cycle of creation, preservation, and destruction. Drawing from the mythological universe of the Devi Bhagavatam and Devisaptashati, it brings alive the moment when the universe trembles under the weight of unchecked greed and imbalance, and the divine feminine rises to restore order. Through powerful choreography rooted in classical hastabhinaya, evocative ragas, and richly layered soundscapes, Mahakali captures the goddess’s transformation from Shakti to the vast, all-consuming force of time itself.

A performance where rhythm becomes ritual, movement becomes mythology, and every beat echoes the turning of time’s eternal wheel.
