Performers
Malayalam is not just a medium of expression. It is a melodic force in itself.
In this concert, Hrudayesh Ramakrishnan revives the treasured Malayalam compositions of Kerala’s greatest composers: Sri Swati Thirunal, royal composer of Travancore known for his intricate raga bhava; Tulaseevanam’s profound lyricism; Kuttamath Bhagavathar’s regional poetry; and Irayimman Thampi’s beloved lullaby Omanathinkal Kidavo.
A rare immersion into the musical heritage of Kerala through a Carnatic lens, this concert preserves, promotes, and celebrates the Malayalam identity within the classical music tradition of South India.
