Found in Translation is a two-part video project aimed at bridging the thinking and the doing in dance. The first essay discusses Repertoire, Improvisation and Unlearning and the second essay discusses Language, Gesture and Voice. It is a project that embeds conceptual rigour in practice on one hand and enriches writing with a danced expression on the other, and thus the format of danced essays.

The danced-essays have been a way for the artists to articulate and contextualise critical questions in dance, through dance. At the event, the two video essays will be screened, and a facilitated discussion will be held for the audience to engage with the questions raised and to contribute to a collective conversation.
