The Election Commission, a constitutional body has orchestrated all our elections including the most recent one which by all accounts has been a stellar successHow is the Election Commission managing national and state elections, year after year; what are the challenges it faces; what are the perceptions, and misconceptions political parties in the fray and the voters have during elections; how does the Election Commission address such issues, try to remain above controversy and conduct free and fair polls?

Mr. Vinod Zutshi, a 1982 Batch IAS officer, boasts 35 years in District, State, and National Administration, retiring in 2017 as Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, India. He also served as Secretary, Ministry of Culture, and Deputy Election Commissioner, Election Commission of India. Renowned for his work in “Election and Democratic Governance,” he oversaw major elections, including the 2014 Parliament elections. Zutshi was an Election Expert for Jordan and held key roles in international election missions. An FMS MBA, Harvard alumnus, and LLB holder, Zutshi now consults in election governance, tourism, culture, and public policy. He has traveled extensively in his career.
