Rajni Bakshi engages Jaithirth Rao in a conversation based on his book Economist Gandhi – the first book on Gandhi to claim that he was not against business and capitalists; providing insights into a hidden facet of Gandhi’s personality—his thoughts on economics and capitalism while throwing light on some of Gandhi’s views on religion, ethics, human nature, education and society, unveiling a Gandhi distinctive from all our previous readings of him.

Jaithirth 'Jerry' Rao
Jaithirth Rao is a retired entrepreneur who has been a visiting faculty member at IIT Bombay, IIM Ahmedabad and Loyola College, Chennai. He has also been entrepreneur-in-residence at Harvard Business School.
His previous publications include a poetry book, a book of essays and a book on Indian conservative traditions.
Rajni Bakshi
Her books include: Bazaars, Conversations and Freedom: for a market culture beyond greed and fear (Penguin, India, 2009 and Greenleaf, UK, 2012), which won two Vodafone-Crossword Awards; Bapu Kuti: Journeys in Rediscovery of Gandhi (Penguin, India, 1998).
On 30th January, 2020, Rajni launched a Youtube Channel called Ahimsa Conversations, which is a platform for exploring the possibilities of nonviolence.
