A story of a friendship that develops between Ben, a sensitive book keeper and Tamar, a down to earth married woman. Tamar, who is intrigued by Ben’s unusual personality and zany humour, wants to understand why Ben cannot touch and cannot be touched by anyone. At the beginning of the Film, he says to Tamar: “My parents didn’t want to have any children. I don’t take it personally – they didn’t know me at the time”.

Dan Wolman
Dan Wolman (1941) is a prolific, award-winning Israeli filmmaker whose films have been screened at festivals at Cannes, Venice, Berlin, Shanghai, Goa, Bangalore, Moscow and more. He has an extensive filmography of features, short films, documentaries, theatre productions and TV dramas which won him a “Lifetime achievement award” at the Jerusalem International film festival and “The Silver Hugo” award at the Chicago International Film Festival. He was also awarded the “Arik Einstein prize” and “The Ophir Life Time Achievement Award” by the Israeli Film Academy.
In 2018 Dan was also recognized in India with a “Life Time Achievement Award” from IFFI – International Film Festival in Goa.
He studied film at the Film Institute of City College – New York and at the New York University. In 1974 and 1978 Wolman taught film at the School of Visual Arts and at New York University and taught screenwriting and production at Tel Aviv University.
Critic, Gidi Orsher of “Galatz” wrote “Wolman is the proclaimed troubadour of Israeli cinema. For over 40 years he has been making films differently as a unique, brave poet of cinema, forging his own personal way, pure and pristine in expression, in a rapidly changing world…. one of the phenomena that give our cinema validity, morality and vitality. If our cinema matters to you… we need a lot more films by Dan Wolman”.
Prakash Belawadi
Prakash Belawadi is an Indian theatre, film, television and media personality, an activist and a journalist from Bangalore. He completed his elementary education at Mahila Seva Samaja, higher school education in National High School, following which he completed his pre-university course at the National College, Bangalore. He obtained a degree in Mechanical engineering from University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering in 1983.
Prakash Belawadi’s filmography spans across Kannada, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam cinema. Some of his best known acting credits include the Kannada romantic thriller Aatagara (2015), the Bollywood films Wazir (2016), Airlift (2016) and Sanju (2018); the Malayalam film Take Off (2017) and the bilingual biopic Thackeray (2019).
Besides these, Prakash’s directorial debut Stumble (2003) has also won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in English. A seasoned theatre artist, Belawadi is the founder of Suchitra School of Cinema and Dramatic Arts in Bangalore. Other significant acting credits in recent times include the Indian-American biographical drama The Least of These (2019) and the Telugu action-thriller Saaho (2019).
