Creating Colourful Creatures
Exploring Animal Coloration
Facilitator
Let’s get together and craft colourful animals, real and imaginary. As we create, we ask where do colours come from and what do these mean for animals. We peer into the microscopic realms of animal skin and explore new sights, filled with colour!
This workshop will require participants to carry with them:
- Pencil
- Pen
- Scissors
- Glue
- Coloured paper
- Paints and paintbrush
- Cups for water

Ipsa Jain
Ipsa Jain is a scientist turned illustrator. She uses the visual medium to tell tales of science. She makes images, zines, and books among other things. Her latest book, co-authored with Minhaj Sirajjudin, called Actually, Colors Speak is about coloration in the animal kingdom. She also identifies as a tree trash collector.
