Chizai is an Indian pop-rock band that started their musical journey in 2013 with Sultan Aftab Khan paving the way into the Delhi music circuit along with Chie Nishikori. The band has evolved over the years and now has 6 active musicians in the current lineup.
Their music can range from pop, rock to funk and soul. With the release of their last single S6 E01 and AWOL which have traces of alt. rock & flamenco-pop, the band has explored a completely new and fresh soundscape which seems to have delighted their audience lately.

Sultan Aftab Khan
Sultan Aftab Khan is the frontman, singer and guitarist of the band. A self-learnt musician, Sultan is from Delhi and has been playing music for over 10 years. He is an avid basketball enthusiast and a graphic artist as well.
Ajitesh Bohra
Ajitesh Bohra is the keyboardist (and occasional lyrics contributor) of Chizai. Hailing from the hills of Uttarakhand, he is a self-trained pianist and keyboardist, and a graphic designer by the night. With full-time ADHD, he can talk about Star Wars and comic books and random trivia the whole day.
Sarthak Bhayana
Sarthak Bhayana is a drummer and composer from Delhi, India. He has studied with Raghav Sehgal, Kunal Netrapal and has pursued rhythm studies under Kartikeya Srivastava, an alumnus of the Berklee College of Music. Apart from Chizai, Sarthak has been playing drums with various other bands from Delhi and is also the founder of Be Right Back.
Arjun Ghai
Arjun Ghai is a bassist and composer from New Delhi, India. Arjun has been an active session musician in the Delhi circuit for the last couple of years and has collaborated and played with various other artists viz. Be Right Back, Prabhdeep, Storyteller, Tarkash, Syncopation and Sumit Roy. His influences range from R&B/Soul to Jazz/Blues and Funk, almost everything in the pop dimension.
Kartik Chandel
Kartik Chandel is an aspiring musician hailing from Delhi. He has established himself as a guitarist and bassist instilling the notions around composing, educating and improvising. With influences from the idioms of blues and jazz, drawing inspiration from artists such as John Scofield, Kurt Rosenwinkle, Robben Ford, he has been actively playing guitars with the RnB/Soul/Funk band Be Right Back, Chizai and bass with the Delhi based blues band BLU. As a part of these bands, he has been featured in Indian Express articles, Revolver Club Magazine, in Radio Stations such as 104.8 FM, HIT 95FM,98.3FM, online platforms such as Jazz In India, GIGITAL India.
