The sector has grown to $12 Billion in size through innovation and has ambition to grow to $50B by 2030. This session sees four different panels with panelists who have an important role in innovating this growth.

About PSPH: Prasanna School of Public Health was setup at Manipal, by Manipal Academy of Higher Education in 2017 with an endowment from Mr. D A Prasanna and Dr. Ranjan Pai. Dr. Helmut Brand is Jean Monnet Professor of European Public Health and head of the Department of International Health at Maastricht University, The Netherlands. He studied Medicine in Düsseldorf and Zürich and holds a Master in Community Medicine from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and London School of Economics. Prof. Brand is a specialist in Public Health Medicine. He holds honorary doctorates from Sofia Medical University and from Tirana Medical University.
As policy advisor he served on the European Advisory Committee on Health Research (EACHR) of WHO Europe and on the Expert Panel on “Investing in Health” (EXPH) for the European Commission. At Manipal University, India he acts as Founding Director of the “Prasanna School of Public Health”.
D A Prasanna
D A Prasanna set new expectations from HR function and architected the Wipro Leadership Program, grooming a generation of top-level executives in the Indian IT sector, including several CEOs. As founding CEO of WiproGE and a pioneer in the MedTech sector, Prasanna innovated new business models, making modern medical technology accessible and affordable and leading GE Health Care to number one in India in the process. Prasanna founded India’s most reputed Clinical Research Organization. He is the Chief Patron of Prasanna School of Public Health in Manipal University.
Arun Tiwari is a missile scientist, who pioneered development of civilian spinoffs, and a well-known author. He is widely recognized as the pupil of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, the 11th President of India, and the co-author of his autobiography “Wings of Fire.” His recent book on ‘Decoding the Pandemic’ has become a bestseller.
R Sachidananda had an illustrious career in the MedTech sector and has led many initiatives in cardiac care and diagnostic imaging.
Dr. Harsh Mahajan is a well-known Radiologist and Founder of the Mahajan Diagnostics Chain. A self-made medical entrepreneur, he has been invited in the past to leadership roles of President of Indian Radiology and Imaging Association, and Chairman of industry body NATHEALTH.
Dr. Harit Chaturvedi is one of the renowned surgical oncologists of india. He has evolved a new model of making cancer care accessible and affordable in the Max Cancer care System in the NCR Region and Punjab.
