BIC is happy to present weekly quiet reading sessions in our Library!
In this week’s Bookmarked facilitated by Manoj Nair, immerse yourself in the beauty of Indian Poetry in English.
You can bring your own book or choose one from the collection at the library, pick a cosy spot and read with us for 90 minutes. Post this, spend a few minutes chatting with us about your read.

Manoj Nair
Manoj is a published poet and short story writer. His poems were accepted by the Sahitya Akademi for publishing and was shortlisted at the 2018 Bangalore Lit Fest. Manoj writes in the Japanese poetry styles of ‘haiku’ and ‘haibun’ and has been published in many major journals.
He was a winner at the Basho-an International Haiku contest in 2021 & 2022 and the Genjuan International Haibun contest in 2022. After pursuing a Creative Writing course at Oxford University he now teaches creative writing in his spare time.
Manoj is the Head of Marketing & Corporate Strategy at a large Indian Multinational and was a Chevening Gurukul Scholar at LSE in 2008. A Malayalee, born & brought up in Mumbai, he now calls Namma Ooru his home.
