On the hottest day of the summer, Manu and Eelu are trapped indoors for one last day together. Come morning, one of them leaves the city for bigger ambitions, while the other cannot bear to be left behind. What does it take to hold on to a friendship on the edge of change?
Inspired by the women and girls who raised each other in beauty parlours and other bubble-like spaces, Bobby Beauty Parlour is a film about the tenderness of female friendship and the anxieties of growing up. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion, and the session will conclude with an audience Q&A.
