The passionate words of saints and poets from across the country and across the centuries illustrate diverse senses of equality. They enliven the moral imagination. The concert honours and celebrates this rich moral and aesthetic legacy.

Pallavi MD
Pallavi MD is a singer, composer, actor, editor, sound designer, and filmmaker with a degree in Hindustani classical music from Benares University. She has performed Kannada poetry, bhavageethe, for twenty-five years, winning the META Best Actress award for C Sharp C Blunt, the State award for her song in Duniya, and the State Kempegowda award. She acted in the National award-winning films Gulabi Talkies and Stumble. Her short film Playgrounds won awards at the Hong Kong Film Festival and IFFLA. She received the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar and, in 2024, composed music for Broadway’s The Vanishing Elephant and designed music for Banjara Virasat. She recently received the Vachanasri award for performing vachanas. In addition to solo performances, she also performs with her band, Kayaka.
D Srinivas Achar
D Srinivas Achar is a sought-after guitarist who has recorded light music, devotional songs, and bhavageete for legends including Mysore Ananthaswamy, C Ashwath, H K Narayan, B M Sitaramaraju, B V Srinivas, and N S Prasad, guided by mentors such as N S Prasad, N S Muralidhar, Balasubramanium, B K Chandrashekar, and Anoor Anantha Krishna Sharma. He has recorded for music directors including Rajan Nagendra, Hamsalekha, C Ashwath, Rajesh Ramnath, V Manohar, L N Shastry, Arjun Janya, and currently J Anup Seelin, and was a regular accompanist for S P Balasubramanium. He presently performs on Zee TV’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and accompanies singers such as Vijay Prakash, Anuradha Bhat, Archana Udupa, MD Pallavi, and Jogi Sunita.
