BIC and the Entrust Foundation bring you a tribute to MS Subbulakshmi, a classical musical evening with Carnatic vocalist, Amritha Murali.
Ekatvam’s Founders Day event, an initiative by Entrust Foundation, celebrates Indian Classical music. The event provides a stage for both emerging and accomplished musicians to showcase their talents. This year, they will feature Ms. Amirtha Murali, who will pay a special tribute to the legendary Smt. M S Subbulakshmi. Recognised as the first musician to receive both the Bharat Ratna and the Ramon Magsaysay award, her legacy resonates deeply.

Amritha Murali
Amritha Murali is one of the most talented, popular and sought after musicians of the current generation. Amritha’s music has been honed by Vidvan Sri K R Kedaranathan, Vidushi Smt. Meera Kedaranathan, Vidushi Smt Rama Ravi and Vidvan Shri P.S. Narayanaswamy. She is currently under the tutelage of Vidvan Shri R.K. Shriramkumar for vocal music. She is also adept at playing the violin and trained under Vidushi Smt. T. Rukmini.
Amritha is an A-graded artiste of the All India Radio and Doordarshan, Chennai. She was granted a fellowship by the Sangeet Natak Academy, New Delhi to learn advanced ragam, tanam and pallavis under Vidvan Shri B.Krishnamoorthy.
Amritha is also a visiting faculty by invitation at the Advanced School of Music under the auspices of The Music Academy, Madras.

Anoor Ananthakrishna Sharma
Anoor R Ananthakrishna Sharma was born in Bangalore, a city with rich cultural heritage, to a family of great musicians. He is an eminent percussionist with a vast knowledge of Laya, Thala, Raaga & Bhava. He was initiated to learn Mridangam by Vidwan late Sri RA Rajagopal, who was a highly accomplished Mridangam & Ghatam artist and a senior staff of All India Radio, Bangalore.
He has collaborated vastly with many renowned musicians of our country such as Dr. RK Srikantan, Vedavalli, TV Gopalakrishnan, Dr. N Ramani, KS Gopalakrishnan, BN Suresh, Lalgudi G Jayaraman, MS Gopalakrishnan, Sudha Raghunathan, TV Shankaranarayana, Bombay Sisters, etc.
He has collaborated greatly with several renowned music directors in the film field and has also composed music for many award winning films and documentaries.

Charulata Ramanujam
Born in a family steeped in classical music, Charulatha was initiated into music by her late father K Rangaswamy, a vocalist of merit. Presently, she is getting advanced training from octogenarian Vidushi Smt. Neela Ramgopal of Bangalore. She is a graduate in English from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati.
Among the more talented violinists in the Carnatic music circuit today, Charulatha, balances delicately well between her manodharma during her solo turns as well as during her faithful and able support to the main artiste with an assurance and finesse.
An ‘A’ grade accredited violinist in All India Radio (AIR), Bangalore, she has been featured in the South Zone hook-up of AIR and
Doordarshan. She has been featured in AIR and Doordarshan’s National Programme of Music and Akashvani Sangeetha Sammelan. Besides, she has been featured in several private Broadcasting Channels, as a soloist and also as an accompanist.

Guru Prasanna
G Guru Prasanna hails from the rich tradition and the school of Khanjira legend Vidwan Late G Harishankar. He has been trained under the tutelage of Vidwan R Sathyakumar, Vidwan Anoor R Ananthakrishna Sharma and Vidwan C P Vyasa Vittala.
An ‘A’ grade artist of AIR and Doordarshan, he has been a multi genre artist for several years and has performed with many renowned musicians across the globe. He has received several recognitions and titles such as Asthana Vidwan of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, Ustad Bismillah Khan Puraskar from Sangeet Natak Akademi, Ganakalashree and many more.
Guru Prasanna is a dual professional, working as Director of Engineering at a reputed MNC while also being the co-founder of Samatva Foundation.
