Organisation purpose / activities
Kadam has a vision to create sustainable livelihoods for rural semi-skilled communities using local skills & local materials by upskilling & bringing work opportunities directly to their rural homes by making 0 carbon footprint products. We intent impacting 20,000 rural homes by 2030. Till 2020, already 6470 trained & impacted. We combine basic green technology with upskilling to ensure higher income generation for the below poverty line beneficiaries selected in rural areas.
Impact assessment
KADAM is currently working in 4 states of India (Kashmir, U.P, Odisha & West Bengal) and driving awareness campaigns in Maharastra & Karnataka. This is already reversing migration & has increased incomes of monitored 600 beneficiaries from 50-195%. The Project is Fulfilling upto 12 of the 17 Sustainable development Goals. Goodera , GoodMarket.global, Fair Trade Forum of India have all audited the impact in terms of environment and community and rated KADAM as “ Good for People, Good for Planet” org.
