In December 1983, geophysicist and seismologist Dr. Harsh Kumar Gupta is sent to Antarctica to lead an impossible mission: build Dakshin Gangotri, India’s first scientific base station, before the end of the Antarctic summer. Given a fleeting timeframe of barely sixty days, success would set a world record. Alas, time is not his only adversary. After a blizzard and a helicopter crash, can determination outpace the pack ice?
The screening of the film will be followed by a discussion with the protagonist and filmmakers. A Q&A with the audience will follow.
