What turns stillness into joy?
This Hindustani classical concert showcases a selection of ragas chosen for their emotive range, each one a distinct attempt to reach toward the sublime. Across the evening, the mood shifts without warning, from meditative stillness to sudden, unguarded joy.
These turns arise from within the ragas themselves, each one holding its own energy. The recital rests on technique, emotion, and contemplation in equal measure, offering an audience attuned to the form a close, unhurried encounter with what Hindustani music can carry.
