Let the Elephants Bee | Sreevalli Sreenivasan | For Ages 8+
This interactive storytelling session is centred around Sreevalli Sreenivasan’s Let the Elephants Bee, published by Bookosmia. Set against the beautiful landscapes of Africa, the story follows young Akinyi as she searches for a peaceful way to protect her family’s crops without harming the elephants she deeply cares for. The story is inspired by the real-world use of beehives to gently deter elephants from entering farms, introducing children to an innovative conservation approach while promoting empathy for wildlife and peaceful coexistence.
The Poochi Zoo | Anusha Krishnan | For Ages 9-11
This nature quiz is based on Anusha Krishnan’s The Poochi Zoo, published by Bookosmia. What begins as the disappointment of a cancelled trip to the zoo soon turns into an unforgettable adventure, as four curious cousins discover a fascinating world hidden inside ordinary pea and bean pods. Young readers will be inspired to explore the world around them, ask questions, think creatively, and appreciate the tiny creatures that share our environment.
Alphabet Soup for the Young Environmentalist | Meena Raghunathan | For Ages 10–14
This interactive storytelling session features Meena Raghunathan’s Alphabet Soup for the Young Environmentalist, illustrated by Pooja Saklani, and published by Bookosmia. A journey through the world of nature and sustainability, it introduces young readers to important environmental concepts, real-world challenges, and simple, practical actions they can take to protect our planet.
Young Voices on Nature: Celebrating Three Published Young Environmental Authors | For All Ages
This panel discussion with the three young authors explores environmental education and the power of storytelling to inspire our youth.

Anusha Krishnan
Anusha is a science writer and editor with a PhD in Ecology and Molecular Biology from the Indian Institute of Science. Her work brings together science and storytelling in ways that spark curiosity in young minds.
Meena Raghunathan
Meena Raghunathan is one of India’s most respected voices in environmental education, sustainability, and responsible leadership. With an illustrious career spanning over four decades, she has been instrumental in shaping environmental literacy across educational institutions and has led transformative initiatives in education, community development, and corporate social responsibility. A former President of the Rotary Club of Bangalore, and a recipient of numerous accolades for her outstanding contribution to education and sustainability, she is widely admired for inspiring young minds to become thoughtful, compassionate, and environmentally responsible citizens. An accomplished author and educator, she has written several influential books for both children and adults, reflecting her enduring commitment to nurturing curiosity, empathy, and a deep respect for nature through the power of storytelling.
Sreevalli Sreenivasan
Sreevalli Sreenivasan is an author, artist, researcher, and environmental advocate passionate about inspiring young readers to care for nature. Her debut children’s book, Let The Elephants Bee, the first in the Living with Nature series, explores human and elephants coexistence through an engaging story that introduces children to real-world conservation solutions such as beehive fences. Currently pursuing a PhD in Systems Engineering and Energy at Dartmouth College, Sreevalli combines her background in engineering, renewable energy, and sustainability with her love for storytelling and art. Inspired by her family’s legacy in wildlife conservation, she is committed to creating books that encourage children to become compassionate, environmentally conscious global citizens.
