Who knew mapping the city could be such a cutting-edge experience?

In this hands-on workshop, the city becomes your canvas where your own lived experiences take centre stage. Across an immersive, artist-led session, you’ll explore how personal memories, routes, and rhythms shape your understanding of the urban landscape. With guidance from artists who bring over 20 years of practice, you’ll get to work with cutting, experimenting with paper compositions and layers, and working with different images from a visual library that maps Bangalore… before taking home a finished artwork.

A meaningful opportunity to carve out your own perspective (quite literally!) on the city you inhabit.

Various & Gould

Artists

Various & Gould are a Berlin-based art duo who have shaped the city’s urban art landscape for nearly two decades. Known for their posters, murals, and public-space interventions, they use art as social engagement—challenging prejudice, celebrating human diversity, and responding to the environments they work in. Influenced by political poster design, Dada, and activism, their practice ranges from large site-specific murals such as Face Time (Berlin, 2015) to participatory projects like Monumental Shadows (2021), examining Europe’s colonial memory. Graduates of the Berlin-Weissensee School of Art, they have exhibited internationally, with works in major collections including Urban Nation and the Museum of Design, Zurich.
