Sounds From the Library (#6)
Music and Conversations
Performers
Sounds From The Library returns for its sixth edition!
An intimate evening where conversation and performance intertwine in the cozy, listener-focused space of the BIC library. This hybrid series spotlights emerging voices from the Indian music scene, all past longlisted artists from the Toto Awards for Music.
From the hills of Karbi Anglong, Assam, Chokamkuru Langneh brings his signature blend of alt-rock and indie-pop. Arjun C, from New Delhi, crafts guitar-led synth bops that meld 80s nu-disco, alt-R&B, and synth-pop into playful, heartfelt, and irresistibly groovy tunes. Tying it all together is Jishnu Dasgupta, bassist and manager of Swarathma. A storyteller and performer, Jishnu adds wit, warmth, and rhythm to this intimate evening of music and conversation.
More than a gig, Sounds From The Library invites audiences into the creative lives of the artists; offering insight into their inspirations, processes, and personal journeys. With music that moves and conversations that linger, this is a rare chance to experience live performance in its most thoughtful form.

Chokamkuru Langneh
Langneh is a trailblazer from the hills of Karbi Anglong, Assam. Bringing Alt-Rock, Indie-Pop, and Alt-Indie sounds to the forefront of Northeast India’s music scene, his breakout single “Rong-Aje” (2019) marked a defining moment, making him the youngest Karbi indie artist to gain national recognition. With his debut album earning wide acclaim, Langneh’s music evokes a rare familiarity of something deeply felt yet refreshingly new, bridging the local and the global with authenticity and heart.
Arjun C
Arjun C is a New Delhi– and Gurugram–based indie artist reshaping India’s modern music landscape. With his band, he blends 80s nu-disco, synth-pop, and alt-R&B into an irresistibly nostalgic yet original sound inspired by icons like Bappi Lahiri and Prince. Since his debut single “Fairy Tale” (2022), Arjun has carved his niche with guitar-led synth grooves culminating in his acclaimed album Sense of Human, a playful yet emotionally resonant exploration of sound and self.
