Emanating from Shiva’s damaru and the radiant sun rays the omnipresent sound of Aum, the cosmic vibration, echoes through the universe. This performance invites you on a soulful journey across India’s Sacred Kshetras, aligned across a single longitude. These holy sites honour Shiva and his transcendent nature. 

Dr. Sahana Selvaganesh (Bharatanatyam) and Pooja Kale (Odissi) join hands in this heartfelt collaboration. Through graceful movement and powerful rhythm, the dancers bring ancient stories to life. 

Whether you’re new to dance or a long-time admirer, this performance offers something special. It’s not just a visual spectacle, it’s an experience of the universal truth – AUM.

Sahana Selvaganesh

Bharatanatyam Dancer

Doctor by profession and dancer by passion , Dr Sahana Selvaganesh, student of Guru Smt Roja Kannan, has been practicing and performing Bharatanatyam for the past 27 years. Initiated into this art form in the tender age of 3 she bloomed into a talented dancer and had her Arangetram at the age of 10, in 2005.

She is a CCRT scholarship holder, “A” Grade artist of Doordarshan, ICCR (Govt. of India) empanelled Artist and SPICMACAY empanelled artist. She is currently Assistant Professor and Phd Scholar at Saveetha Dental College, Chennai, India.

She is currently into choreographing new concepts in Bharatnatyam. She has founded an NGO NIRVIKALPA – for preserving and promoting the dance forms of Bharath. She efficiently manages her roles as a performer, choreographer, teacher, assistant professor, Oral Implantology practitioner, Phd student.

Pooja Kale

Odissi Dancer

Pooja Kale is an accomplished Odissi dancer with over 18 years of training and performance experience. A CCRT scholarship recipient, she holds multiple diplomas in Odissi and has trained under esteemed gurus including Smt. Rasika Gumaste and Shri Durga Charan Ranbir. She has performed at prestigious festivals across India and the UAE, and actively contributes to dance education and social advocacy through lecture-demonstrations and workshops. With a strong background in both classical performance and corporate choreography, Pooja seamlessly blends tradition with contemporary engagement.
