This Sunday join facilitator Madhuri Nair Sanjeev for a primer on one of Shakespeare’s most famous texts – Macbeth. The session is structured to be a healthy combination of entertainment and learning. Children will be introduced to the plot of Shakespeare’s classic play, along with a visual display of the major characters and scenes. They will also glean classic moral lessons from the text. The event will conclude with a fun theatre activity, where children themselves enact dialogues from the play.

This event is a part of BIC’s Programmes at the Library.

BIC Library Programmes are designed to mould the library into a community-centered reading space. Our primary goal is to curate sessions that cater to the diverse interests and ages within our library community. Through this programming we wish for the library to become a dynamic space that goes beyond traditional book-related activities.

We also aim to provide a platform for members of the community to sometimes host these events we curate. If you have event ideas that align with our vision, please reach out to us at collab@bangaloreinternationalcentre.org

Teacher, Counsellor & Storyteller

Madhuri has over 15 years of experience teaching English at the Bishop Cotton Boys School. Making Shakespeare relatable and enjoyable to her students is a challenge she loves, apart from finding great eateries and searching for serene getaways. A great admirer of the cat family and the performing arts, Madhuri also occasionally pens Hindi poetry when the inspiration strikes.
