Two lifelong rivals Ratima and Kalima have been appointed caretakers of their empty village. Now in the twilight of their lives, they must forget their past and help each other survive a long and harsh winter.
The screening will be followed by a discussion with the directors moderated by Sunanda Bhat. A Q&A with the audience will follow.

Rajan Kathet
Rajan Kathet is a filmmaker working in both fiction and documentary films. He is an alumnus of the European Masters Docnomads Program (2014-2016), Berlinale Talents (2017), and the Global Media Makers LA Residency (2021/22).
Rajan’s first feature documentary No Winter Holidays premiered at Sheffield DocFest 2023 and won the Nativa award at the AlterNative Film Awards. His short fiction film Bare Trees in the Mist (2019) was shown at Toronto International Film Festival, Tampere, HKIFF, etc.
Sunir Pandey
Sunir Pandey is a former journalist and a director/producer/writer based in Kathmandu. No Winter Holidays is his first film.
Sushma Veerappa
Sushma Veerappa has worked in both fiction and non-fiction films in various roles – as Sub-Editor of a film quarterly, film educator for school children, assistant director, script writer, editor, producer, director, and as founder-trustee of a film collective screening documentaries in Bangalore city since 2005.
