An analysis of the phenomenon – a documentary that examines what made Rajkumar a household name with an indelible impact on the psyche of the Kannada identity, featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Vishnuvardhan, Jayanthi, PB Srinivas, Dr UR Ananthamurthy, Jayanth Kaikini and many more.
Their insights into the legend with personal anecdotes, photographs and excerpts from movies and songs make up an impressive visual treat. Actor Ramesh Arvind is the voice that narrates this documentary which has been screened at national film festivals and in the United States.
This tribute to Dr Rajkumar includes a screening of the documentary followed by a discussion with Dheeren and Dhanya Ramkumar, the grandchildren of Dr Rajkumar, who have now forayed into acting. They will be in conversation with filmmaker Maya Chandra.

Dheeren Ramkumar
Dheeren is one of Dr Rajkumar’s grandchildren, son of Poornima and Ramkumar, a veteran actor. He has just made his debut in the Kannada Film Industry with Shiva 143, released in August 2022.
Dhanya Ramkumar
Dhanya Ramkumar is one of the grandchildren of Dr Rajkumar, and daughter of Poornima and Ramkumar, a veteran actor. She marked her debut and rose to fame in the year 2021 with Ninna Sanihake paired alongside Suraj Gowda. She’s also been awarded the best debut actor in Chitra Santhe film awards 2022. Dhanya will be making her debut in Tamil Cinema soon.
