ಎಂಟರಿಂದ ಹದಿಮೂರು ವರ್ಷದ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗಾಗಿ “ಕ್ಲೌನ್ಗಳು” ಹಾಡಿ ಕುಣಿದು ಹೇಳುವ ಹಳೆ ಮೈಸೂರು ಭಾಗದ ಬಾಯ್ಮಾತಿನ (ಜನಪದ) ಕಥೆಗಳು. ಬನ್ನಿ! ನಮ್ಮ ನೆರೆಹೊರೆಯವರಾದ ಆನೆ,ಬೆಕ್ಕು,ಹುಲಿ,ಎಮ್ಮೆ,ಗಿಡಗೆಂಟೆ ಹುಳ ಹುಪ್ಪಟೆಗಳ ಜೊತೆ ಕಾಲ ಕಳೆಯೋಣ.
Come and meet this group of clowns who tell folk stories collected directly from the people of the old Mysore region. They recreate these stories about our friends around us – friends like the elephant, cat, tiger, the buffalo and all other creepy crawlies that we share our world with and they do it all through music and dance.
ಚಲನೆ ಮತ್ತು ರೂಪಾಂತರ ತತ್ವಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿರುವ ಭಿನ್ನ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯ ಕಲಾವಿದರ ಸಮೂಹ, ಜಂಗಮ ಕಲೆಕ್ಟಿವ್. ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಎಚ್ಚರ ಮತ್ತು ಅರಿವನ್ನು ಹಬ್ಬಿಸುವ ಕಾಯಕವನ್ನು ಮುಖ್ಯವೆಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಿ ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ರಂಗಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಅಭಿವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ದಾರಿಯಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಮತ್ತದರ ವಿಸ್ತರಣೆಯೆಂಬಂತೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ, ಪ್ರಕಾಶನ, ಸಿನಿಮಾ, ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಹೋರಾಟಗಳಂತಹ ಸೃಜನಶೀಲ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ತಾನು ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ.

Sandhya Arekere
ಶ್ರೀರಂಗಪಟ್ಟಣ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಅರಕೆರೆ ಯವರು. ಚಿಕ್ಕಂದಿನಿಂದ ರಂಗಭೂಮಿ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಒಲವು ಬೆಳೆದು ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಲಲಿತ ಕಲಾ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಗೂ ನೀನಾಸಂ ರಂಗಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಹೆಗ್ಗೋಡು ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಜ್ಞಾನಭಾರತಿ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ರಂಗಭೂಮಿಯ ಕುರಿತು ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಮಾಡಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇದರ ಜೊತೆಜೊತೆಗೆ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಸೀರಿಯಲ್ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ, ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ “ಜಂಗಮ ಕಲೆಕ್ಟಿವ್” ತಂಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Sandhya hails from Arakere in Srirangapatna. She has nurtured her passion for theatre through training and studying performance in Mysore Lalitha Kala College; NINASAM, Heggodu and Jnanabharati University, Bangalore.
Along with this she has been an active performer in theatre, cinema and television. Presently she is a part of Jangama Collective based in Bangalore.
Shodhan Basrur
ಇವರು ಉಡುಪಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಕುಂದಾಪುರ ತಾಲೂಕಿನವರು. 2012 -13 ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನ ನೀನಾಸಂ ರಂಗಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಕೇಂದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪದವಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ನೀನಾಸಂ ತಿರುಗಾಟದಲ್ಲಿ ನಟನಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಅನೇಕ ರಂಗ ತಂಡಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕಿರುತೆರೆ ಹಿರಿತೆರೆ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಭಿನಯಿಸಿದ ಅನುಭವ ಇವರಿಗಿದೆ. ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ “ಜಂಗಮ ಕಲೆಕ್ಟಿವ್” ತಂಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ
Originally from Kundapura, Shodhan trained at NINASAM Theatre Institute, Heggodu in 2012-13. He toured with NINASAM’s traveling troupe across Karnataka for two years while working with various theatre companies simultaneously. He has also appeared in films and television series and is presently associated with Jangama Collective, Bangalore.
Lakshmana K P
Lakshmana is an actor, director, writer and teacher from Karnataka, India.
He graduated from Ninasam Theatre Institute in 2012 and Intercultural Theatre Institute Singapore in 2018 and has been travelling across India, working in various productions with different theatre groups. He has performed in many national and international theatre festivals in India and abroad.
Lakshmana has had the opportunity to work not just in professional theatre, but also exploring theatre-in-education with children and young adults.
