Despite the city’s infrastructure being unfriendly to cyclists, citizens and civil society organisations are actively promoting cycling. Formal open cycle days, car-free Sundays, and cyclathons have become part of the city’s cultural fabric. This short film explores the different cycling practices in Bengaluru, focusing on three distinct user groups: those cycling for livelihood, daily commute, and leisure. Cycling in Bengaluru is not just a mode of transportation but a statement of identity, community, and shared aspirations.
