Organisation purpose / activities

Buzz Women enables underserved women by making knowledge, skills and tools available at their doorsteps towards economic, social, personal and ecological empowerment through various training. The programs are built on the foundation of the 5 Cs – Cash, Care, Climate, Community, and Confidence. Buzz Women wishes to aid in combating poverty not only through interventions that deal with the economical aspect of poverty, but also the ecological, psychological, and sociological aspects. The program is divided into multiple interventions that are contextual and meaningful. Buzz India, through its program aspires to achieve the 1st SDG of ‘No Poverty’ and 5th SDG of ‘Gender Equality’. From 2012 to-date Buzz Women has reached 3,00,000 women, and has more than 7000 Community Anchors in its network.

Impact assessment

The women who go through our intervention are financially literate (97%), save more money (84%), become more confident (47%), start or expand enterprises (73%), come together as sisters in their communities, take charge of their personal and community problems (71%) and find their own solutions.
