Akshara Foundation was founded (March 2000) on the belief that quality education is the undeniable right of every child. It was conceived as a tripartite partnership between the government, the corporate sector and the voluntary sector. Our goal is to Make our Education Systems Work for Every Child.

Over the years, Akshara’s focus has been on improving the Foundational Numeracy and Literacy skills of children studying in Government Primary schools.

Since inception, ~ 5million children in Government Primary schools across Karnataka, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh

Akshara works with all Government Primary schools in Karnataka (including Bangalore).
