Re-Garde is a contemporary dance piece moving between opposing pairs: youth and old age, control and release. As the choreographers describe it, the piece traces how our way of observing the world, people, art, conflict, each other, transforms from childhood to adulthood, shaped by the societies and environments we inhabit.

Exploring the sense of sight, the performance follows two performers as mirrors of each other’s projections, ready to give, lose, provoke and be provoked; crossing the delicate boundaries that separate them, suspended between gesture and poetry. What does it mean to look at the world clear-sighted, unconditioned, free?

MF Company:
MF Company is a contemporary dance and physical theatre company founded by Maxime Freixas and Francesco Colaleo. Since 2014, they’ve performed internationally across festivals in France, Italy, Poland, Spain, Germany and beyond, exploring humorous, physical and committed research of the body, rhythm and dynamic space. They have been supported by DRAC ARA, the French Institute (FR, MA, PL, IT, HU), the Metropolis and the City of Lyon.

BIC Elsewhere:
While the majority of our events find a home at our premises in Domlur, BIC Elsewhere represents our commitment to bringing conversations, arts, and culture directly to diverse audiences. Through this initiative, we collaborate with various venues, extending the reach of our events beyond our own space. These partnerships not only breathe life into our gatherings but also play a crucial role in cultivating an environment for the flourishing of arts and culture in the city.
