Mr. Ram Bhandari, a 10th standard school drop out, left his hometown in Bihar at an early age and finally settled down in our very own Bengaluru. He started his life in the city as maintenance staff at a building in Gandhinagar. Due to the nature of his job he had a lot of time to spare, which led him to a nearby store where his passion for repairing cricket bats began. Today he is a proud Bangalorean who has had the honour of repairing cricket bats for years, including those of the greatest of Indian batsmen such as Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid. This is the story of how he made this city his home and his tryst with these great batsmen.
