Bengaluru, Let’s Fly Together | B•LORE by BIC

Film by Aahan Desai

A young birding enthusiast and resident of the city, Aahan takes us on a journey to places across Bangalore, unveiling the world of feathered creatures that exists alongside us. Through the film we visit locations such as Jakkur Lake, where we find 15+ species of birds coexisting in a single tree, Thimmasandra Lake, a haven for kingfishers and finally onto Devanahalli, where a world of rare birds live beyond the airport. We come across a wide range of species including harriers, cormorants, paradise flycatcher, and bush birds to name just a few! Some of these rare species are not commonly found in the city or in the South of Karnataka. The film also nudges us to be more aware and consider the cost of encroachment on natural habitats, hoping that society at large can work together towards protecting birds and their home.
