Dipika Bajpai

Dipika Bajpai is a Indian Forest Service officer. She actively works towards sensitizing the masses about the significance of protection of forests, initiated public participation in mass planting programs and created a sense of ownership with the existing forests. She successfully recovered 149 acres and 13 guntas of forest land that were encroached upon in JB Kaval, Buttanahalli, Kaggalipura, Yelahanka, Sunkadakatte, Mylasandra and Thurahalli.

Shubhendu Sharma

“Shubhendu runs a company called Afforestt which makes natural forests in urban spaces.
Afforestt specialise in a methodology which makes forests grow 10 times faster than normal growth rate of trees, once established (which usually takes 2-3 years), these forests do not need any maintenance or watering, finally becoming a 100 years old natural forest in just 10 years. Shubhendu a TED Fellow, INK fellow and Ashoka Fellow.

Shashank Atreya is a Research Fellow at Vidhi, Bengaluru. He graduated with a BBA LLB(Hons.) from Christ University(Bengaluru) in 2017.

“Meera works on news media, open data, citizen empowerment, governance and technology. She co-founded Citizen Matters, an award winning urban and community news media. She is also a Founder Trustee at Oorvani Foundation, a non-profit trust for a free and independent media. This foundation supports public interest journalism on governance, citizenship and society, through community funding.
