Bangalore based band Midnight Poppies deliver a range of musical styles from upbeat Funk and R&B to heart pumping Rock and soulful Blues and Jazz. The band has a collective experience of over 1,000 live performances and is backed by noted jazz and fusion sessions drummer Rohit PS and bassist Sudarshan VS.

Midnight Poppies have toured across India and appeared on national television as a part of Doordarshan’s “Rock The Night” and Kappa TV’s “Music Mojo” series which featured top bands from across India. The band has also performed their original compositions on radios in Shillong and Mumbai.

The band is known for their danceable grooves and strong lyrics and are currently working on releasing their tracks across digital platforms.

Rajni Shivaram

Musician

Rajni has performed all across India and also internationally in the United States. With her love of Blues and soul music, she joined Chronic Blues Circus, one of Bangalore’s premier Blues bands before forming¬† Midnight Poppies with Sangeeta Agnes Hosea. Her lively personality and recognalisable soulful voice has spearheaded the success of Midnight Poppies over the last two years.

Adrain Moses

Percussionist

A student of Jagadeesh M.R. Director of The Bangalore School of Music, Adrian strengthens the rhythm section of the band with his guitar playing. Adrian has a discerning ear for Blues and jazz often discovering new artists and Music in the traditional form.

Sangeeta Agnes Hosea

Singer

With over 30 years in Music and having written more than 200 songs, Sangeeta founded Midnight Poppies in November 2017. She sings and plays guitar along with a host of other instruments. 

Sangeeta has performed a variety of styles and genres and is often called to judge musical competitions such as Strawberry Fields organised by National Law School and Radio One 94.3 FM’s, Battle of the Bands.
